The Carlos Alberto's Jazz Quartet was founded in 2014 presenting original Latin Jazz material . The founders of the band included Juno award Angel Araos on drums, The official presentation of the band was in November, 2015 at the National Arts Centre.
Most of the music played by the Quartet includes original material composed by Carlos Alberto Santana. Carlos Alberto has composed dozens of songs including latin jazz and piano solo works.

Alvaro (Multi-percussionist) was born in Santiago, Chile, studied percussion at the University of Chile and at the Superior Music Conservatory of Barcelona, Spain. In South America and Canada, has performed with numerous Symphonic orchestras, ensembles and bands in styles ranging from Classical to Ethnic and Latin to Jazz. He is a member of the Gatineau Symphony Orchestra.
Studied percussion and double bass at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, and composition with Humberto Hernandez Medrano. Worked as an additional musician on several Mexican orchestras, as well as a bass player with some jazz and popular music groups in Mexico.
Saxophonist Jasmin Lalande has performed as principal saxophonist with such groups as, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra under Christoph Eschenbach in Germany, The Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, the McGill Symphony Orchestra under Charles Dutoit, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, The Haddonfield Symphony under Rossen Milanov, and the orchestra for Oliva Neuton-John’s world tour. Mr. Lalande holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill U. and a Master of Music from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. He gave a Carnegie Hall debut concert in 2000 and is co-founder of the Euphonique Saxophone Quartet
